Signature Programs

Feminist Films

WLRC screens films that center women and femmes, people of color, LGBTQIA+ communities, people with disabilities, indigenous people, and other marginalized perspectives. Each screening is accompanied by a workshop, discussion, or art-making opportunity.

Feminisms Lunch Lectures

Faculty, graduate students, visiting scholars, and activists present their projects, ideas, and works-in-progress on a wide range of topics and engage participants in lively and provocative discussion. Lunch is provided.

Feminist Page-turners

Each semester, WLRC selects written works that expand our imaginations around feminisms and hosts discussions about their prominent themes.

Onwards: Feminisms in Conversation

This conversation series aims to bring people together to talk about difficult issues that overlap with, but are not limited to, feminisms. Onwards provides an opportunity for people to speak frankly about the significance of feminisms in our past, present, and future.

The series was inspired by the critiques and the sense of urgency that emerged in the days following the Women’s March in January 2017: the need for spaces to learn, read, and talk together about the feminist histories we have inherited and the futures that we imagine and want to build together.

Write @ WLRC

This weekly write-on-site space is an opportunity for graduate students and junior faculty in need of a quiet, supportive writing environment. Hosted at WLRC every Friday during the academic year. Coffee and snacks are provided.
