A person with flowers growing out of their head and holding a watering can above them, with flowers, plants, and hearts around them. Above them are details about the HEALS: Surviving & Thriving through Mental Health Care program in white text inside a purple and blue gradient rectangle, which is on a magenta and pink gradient background.

How do you care for yourself when your world is burning? What works for you--and what doesn’t?

Join us to explore the challenges of staying well amidst trauma and injustice, and leave with an expanded toolkit of care strategies and resources.

UIC undergraduate, graduate, and professional student survivors and allies are welcome!

Co-sponsored by Commuter and Off-Campus Life.

Please contact us with any questions or access requests: can@uic.edu or (312) 413-8206.

About the HEALS program:

Are you interested in building connections, healing, and working towards justice with survivors at UIC?

We invite you to HEALS: Healing for Engagement, Action, & Leadership by Survivors, a drop-in gathering space for UIC students who have experienced gender-based violence (domestic/dating violence, sexual assault, harassment, stalking, and family abuse) and those who support them.
