A Collection of Black Hair Culture
Starting at the beginning of Black History Month 2020 and continuing biweekly until the end of the semester, WLRC invites community members to participate in the Black Hair Quilt Project, a collaborative quilt that incorporates the stories, feelings, and experiences we have about our hair. This website is an extension of this project, highlighting how the world is responding to the growing Black hair movement.
