Black Women and Police Violence: A Primer

A chart of resources related to Black Women and Police Violence, with the following categories: books, articles and reports, organizations, social media, news and analysis, and art. At the bottom is written #SayHerName, followed by the names of Black women who were victims of police violence.

Police violence against Black women–both inside and outside of the U.S.–typically receives scant attention from mainstream media or anti-violence movements. This primer features some of the amazing work that Black feminist scholars and activists have done to document, educate, mobilize, and demand justice for Black women and families victimized by the state.
