Join us for a storytelling circle as we explore the complex journey from girlhood to womanhood. This circle is a space to share personal experiences and reflect on the pressures, misinformation, and "lies" we're told about growing up.

Co-facilitated by UIC student Nwadum Tendong as part of the development of her undergraduate capstone project.

Nwadum Tendong | University of Illinois Chicago

Nwadum Tendong is a 3rd-year Gender and Women’s Studies major and is part of the Honors College and GPPA Medical Scholars Program at UIC. She is currently in the developing stages of her capstone project, where she plans to delve into the issues and taboos of women's health that are of concern to college-aged women. She is also interested in discovering social media's implications on health literacy when young women are the target audience.
