Women of Color Faculty Welcome Tea

October 1, 2021

3:00 PM - 4:30 PM

Location

Zoom

A line drawing featuring two cups on saucers with small plates of macarons next to them. Above the cups are word bubbles pointing outward, presumably to the people drinking the tea. Below the drawing is text describing the event.

Women of color faculty and postdoctoral scholars who are new to UIC, take an afternoon break and join us for (virtual) tea! We'll spend time getting to know each other and building a community of care. Senior colleagues will also share words of wisdom about their writing practices and finding support on campus:

Dr. Amalia Pallares
Associate Chancellor and Vice Provost for Diversity

Dr. Lorena Garcia
Associate Professor, Sociology and Latin American and Latino Studies

Dr. Henrika McCoy
Interim Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Student Services and Associate Professor, Jane Addams College of Social Work

Dr. Nadine Naber
Professor, Gender and Women's Studies and Global Asian Studies

Dr. Nadine Peacock
Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion, School of Public Health

CART live captioning will be provided. Please send additional accommodation requests to wlrc@uic.edu.
