About
Isabel Carmichael is the Education and Outreach Specialist for the Campus Advocacy Network.
Isabel is a passionate advocate for preventing interpersonal violence, with research interests and commitments spanning teen dating violence prevention, LGBTQ+ interpersonal violence, intersectionality, restorative practices, and abolitionist feminisms.
Joining UIC, Isabel brings experience in teen dating violence prevention education, violence and crisis advocacy, and intersectional and popular-education-based youth outreach. She holds a BA in Women's and Gender Studies with a concentration in Anti-Violence Advocacy from DePaul University.
In her free time, Isabel enjoys cooking, reading, exploring the city, crafting, and thrift shopping. Known for her talkative nature, she eagerly anticipates becoming part of the UIC community! Isabel loves engaging in conversations about social justice, women’s sports, fashion, restaurants, and travel. Don’t hesitate to reach out and connect!
