THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED in line with university guidance on campus events.

Join us for the fourth workshop in a series on healthy relationships in Muslim communities.

Come to gain foundational knowledge about sexual violence, including definitions, prevalence, impacts, intersection of race, and research from within the Muslim community. What are the internal and external societal barriers that prevent Muslims from disclosing? How do we empower ourselves and support others in our community?

The event will be facilitated by HEART, a national organization that ensures Muslims have the resources, language, and choice to nurture sexual health and confront sexual violence.

Refreshments will be served.

Space is wheelchair accessible. If you have questions or additional accessible needs, please contact the Arab American Cultural Center five days in advance.

Co-organized by the Arab American Cultural Center, Asian American Resource Cultural Center, and Women's Leadership and Resource Center in partnership with HEART.

Co-sponsors: Students for Justice in Palestine, Muslim Student Association, Indian Student Organization, Planned Parenthood Generation Action at UIC, Women's Health Initiative, and Counseling Center
