About

Susan Cisneros is an undergraduate student in Gender & Women Studies, minoring in Black Studies and Disability and Human Development. She was the winner of the 2022-2023 Undergraduate Prize in Gender & Women Studies. She has worked with Brighton Park Neighborhood Council (BPNC) and Openlands, engaging high school students in environmental work and succeeding in getting 20 trees planted in the Brighton Park area as well as garbage pickup to battle ongoing issues with littering. Susan has also tutored students tutoring at Thomas Kelly High School.

She spends her off days hanging out with her pets, Melody (dog) and Egg (guinea pig). She also enjoys the company of her fiance, who doubles as her teammate in video games. Her hobbies include art (multimedia), fashion, reading, cooking, and taking pictures of her pets. You can find her on Instagram (@slcisneros) and on campus at the WLRC.
